Parityflux is the current recording name for John Krikawa, an American musician and composer who is well-received in the ambient electronic music community.

Parityflux is known for his piano-infused ambient and cinematic-ambient work.  His work often brings subtle elements of jazz and classical motifs over beds of pulsing or sweeping undulation.  He also collaborates with other like-minded electronic musicians in America and northern Europe and has participated in numerous Different Skies electronic music ensembles (Arcosanti, Mayer, Arizona USA) as well as the inaugural Karelian Skies festival in Helsinki, Finland in 2014.

Parityflux is particularly interested in live electronic music improvisation as an art form.  The creative freedom and a large sonic palette coupled with a very detailed, streamlined technical apparatus makes for a very appealing and dualistic adventure in sound.
